Third Annual Beer, Bourbon and Brisket Festival Recap

Ft. Worth’s Panther Island Pavilion was filled with the succulent aroma of grilled goodness this past Saturday, as lovers of three of the most important B words to ever grace Webster’s Dictionary came out to celebrate, Beer, Bourbon and Brisket. This year, barbeque joints across DFW came out to show folks just how tasty their meat really was, tempting event goers with sausage, ribs and of course brisket. BrewFest 2015 Recap

What happens when you bring great beer, karaoke, games and extra hype music together? Likely an all-around buzzed up drunken good time and plenty of smiling faces. For the fifth year in a row, BrewFest did not disappoint. A few found a way to accessorize their outfits with a tasteful beer can necklace.…

However, this very fine brewski made the cut. “Smooth as velvet and hits you like a hammer.” Don’t you wish that was your real life tagline? Unfortunately friends, it’s already taken.  Velvet Hammer is a 9% Imperial Red Ale produced by the fun folks at Peticolas Brewing Company. The most popular brewski of their bunch of beers, this brew strikes a blow. For the beerologists out there you should know Velvet Hammer has 85 IBUs making it a…
