A man who is very serious about making drinks and you drinking them.
Another thing you may not want to share is the smoked yellowtail sashimi. Zesty, tender and fresh.
Beautiful Edison lighting at Don't Tell.

Don’t Tell Supper Club – 4.7 Stars

Pull a sword from a man’s throat. Watch in awe as people go through rings and suspend themselves in curtains aka aerial performances. Sip on a cocktail aptly named Green Eggs and Ham then let your fork slip into tender Smoked Yellowtail Sashimi. This isn’t someplace you need a plane to get to. But, it is an escape from the norm. Don’t Tell Supper Club isn’t your average night out in Dallas.

Tucked away in Downtown Dallas, from the outside, there’s really nothing too assuming about Don’t Tell. Open Thursday through Saturday night, this place easily blends into the fabric of buildings surrounding it. But, don’t be fooled. Time can easily get away from you when visiting here. You may come for dinner at 7, and find yourself mesmerized until 2.

But, if you do decide to come for dinner, you won’t be disappointed. Rarely can a place deliver on entertainment, food and drinks, but Don’t Tell, as already noted isn’t your average night out. Created by Chef Tre Wilcox, the menu is a nice compilation of New American fusion. From shushing sculpture displays too largely over exaggerated forks, each dish served is presented with its own artistic charm.

Besides the Smoked Yellowtail Sashimi other shareable items worth trying are the Big Eye Tuna Tartar served with scallions, yuza, togarshi and black radish, Grilled Lamb Lolli Pops, and the DT Castle Burgers topped with an interesting mix of chipotle mayo, cabbage, cilantro, pepper jack and bacon are equally hoard worthy. For the deeply beefy devoted, veer towards the Steak Frites. Grilled prime NY Strip is served with a side of parmesan truffle fries. But, if you decide on this beefy bite, get ready to shell out nearly 70 bucks for the meal.

One of the unspoken rules about visiting Don’t Tell is the necessity of their cocktails. Like the artistic presentations paired with food, the drinks are their own masterpieces. Creativity can be sipped down easily in the Bubledypeg, made with Zephyr Black, lemon juice, orgeat and a Bit O’ Honey candy. Tequila drinkers may find a friend in their signature sip, Don’t Tell which is made with SALT Berry Tequila and of course, some “keep it on the hush” special ingredient. Though not typically a gin fan, the Most Unusual Tea makes you want to slide into sin with its mixture of Hendrick’s Gin, basil, lime juice and just the right bit of chamomile.

If you’re looking to be intrigued by cocktails, sword swallowers and flexible folks, then Don’t Tell Super Club is your new home. Attracting an array of characters, from food and booze connoisseurs to temptresses and gentlemen, this is a place that you may end up creating a few new secrets of your own. Shh… TxMb
