Are you ready to get chocolate wasted? Returning for its eighth year, the Dallas Chocolate Festival is taking your sweet tooth on a weekend long extravaganza. Festivities begin on September 8th with the Dallas Chocolate Festival Kickoff at the circus style chocolate party held at Fashion Industry Gallery (The F.I.G.). Here guests can partake in a chocolate cake walk, circus food, cocktails, carnival games and of course chocolate. If you haven’t had enough, head over to the Fairmont Hotel across the street from F.I.G. where you can enjoy an after party happy hour. On Saturday, prepare for the Main Event which will feature plenty of chocolate samples, an exhibit on “How Chocolate is Made,” demonstrations, lectures and so much more. For the finale on Sunday, enjoy a variety of hands on workshops where you will learn how to make your own chocolate, including Bean to Bar and Chocolate Pastries. The Ultimate Cocktail Experience will return for its sixth year. The annual drinking event is a fundraiser benefiting Triggers Toys, programs that help children around the country. Bartenders, distributors, brands and consumers will come together for an unforgettable cocktail experience in Klyde Warren Park. This year’s event will include six unique bar concepts and over 35 cocktails, each representing a different part of the world, and each tasked with producing a menu of innovative drinks–including one classic cocktail and one non-alcoholic option. While sipping food trucks will be on site serving a variety of dishes to soak in the goodness. In addition there will be a charity casino area where your buy-in is a donation to Trigger’s Toys and your winnings can earn you raffle tickets. This year’s event will be held from 4pm – 7pm at Dallas Farmers Market and will feature some of the best tacos in the metroplex.
