After a successful first year, the piquant Park & Palate is back for another course. Set to be held on October 21 and 22, this year’s premier fundraising event for Klyde Warren Park will feature over 30 of the region’s most well-known and respected chefs. The culinary extravaganza kicked things off during the Park & Palate Preview on Monday, August 1st at Klyde Warren’s main restaurant, Savor Gastropub. Several star studded chefs were in attendance including Nilton Borges, Jr, Jason Dady, John Tesar, Dean Fearing and Kent Rathbun. From amazing chefs to unforgettable dishes and cocktails, the two day epicurean event Park & Palate celebrated the love of food while raising funds for Klyde Warren Park. The event included Down to the Roots on Friday night which focused on chefs and their dishes, while Saturday’s event, the Grand Tasting was all about restaurants and chefs. Because words can’t do it justice, here’s a look back at some of the most intriguing dishes served during the event, including pig ear salad, fried antelope and even rabbit chorizo.
