Sliders vs Swank at the Eberhard

The Eberhard 3.3 Stars Swank is not the easiest thing to pull off. In fact, it’s actually quite difficult, but when done correctly, there is no question that you get the feeling you’re sitting in the lap of luxury. It’s safe to say that the Eberhard has definitely done their research on swank. I arrived close to 6PM on a Friday to meet up with my pal for a little chitter chatter and happy hour. First Year is a Charm @Fork and Cork 2014

Fork and Cork 2014 Decadent. Gourmet. Bon Vivant. All words synonymous with this past weekend’s two day affair Fork and Cork. Held at Addison’s Circle Park, the first annual “celebration of taste” took the place of Taste of Addison. Different, you betcha. He sat inside a phone booth waiting for his sweetheart to ring. Would she or wouldn’t she. All the while he sat, unmoved with a permanent expression plastered on his face. The dandy looking soldier sitting inside the throwback phone booth is a mannequin. He, like other items in this place are relics of things past. A tribute to the 1950’s. There’s an old spiffy Dr. Pepper machine, a few framed LIFE Magazines and vintage radios that still emit sound. But this is no antique shop. It is Elias Rodriguez’s vision of a winery. It happened in…

Smokey Goodness at J and B Barbecue

J&B Barbecue-RATED 4 stars TXmb Barbecue is embedded in the DNA of all Texans. Knowing what ribs and brisket are by the age of 1 is a necessity. It’s a rite of passage to watch flames dance on an open grill, while sweet smelling smoke tickle your eyes and tempt your belly. For this reason, our smoke cured senses can easily detect the good stuff. Thankfully, J&B does NOT disappoint. The menu isn’t extensive, but who cares. This is barbeque. Each of J&B’s meats has an unmistakably savory smoked flavor that leaves you smacking your lips in satisfaction and licking extra sauce on your fingers. The ribs have an…
