A Look at Between the Buns

  Burger lovers slid into slider heaven during the first ever, Dallas Observer Between the Buns event. Held at Dallas Farmers Market, some of the best sliders in town came out and showed out. Including favorites like Cook Hall, Chop House Burger, Haystack and my very beloved, Hutchins BBQ. While chowing down on sliders, cocktails and brews flowed at the cash bar and live music kept you shaking off the calories. Itis Occurs During Soul Food Truck Fest

On September 30th Austin, Texas kicked off their first ever Soul Food Truck Festival. With grub from a variety of the city’s best soul food trucks, event goers made their way the Freedom Plaza at the Carver Museum to get their fill of #itis. Greek Food Festival 2017 Recap

  Already stuffed from the spinach and cheese inside crispy phyllo, aka spanakopita and seasoned dolmas, I still yearned for another gyro. Just as I began waddling closer to the stand, I realized this belly could handle no more Greek goodness. Dining Out in Dallas Recap 2017 For the 22nd year in a row, Dining Out in Dallas, Battle of the Chefs celebrated some of the city’s best chef’s with samples of their top tasty selections. Held once again at the Frontiers of Flight Museum, this year’s fundraiser continued its cause to benefit the Texas Neurofibromatosis Foundation. Neurofibromatosis is an incurable disease that forms throughout the body. It primarily affects the growth of nerve cell tissues. This year’s Junior Chef Winner was 14-year-old Chef Caden. El Centro College’s, Bits & Bites 2017

  El Centro College continued their annual Bits & Bites Fundraiser celebration. The food and drinking event helps raise funds for the Food & Hospitality Institute.  This year’s event honored Beth Sonnier, former Chef Instructor and Advisor who served the Food & Hospitality  Institute for almost 30 years.
