In a couple of weeks you will have the option of eating true Texan style brisket 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That includes after a late night of boozing and Bankhead Bouncing. The moment you flap your eyes open on any given day at any given time, tender, smoky brisket will be possible. Let that sink in for a second. Or better yet, get up and get yourself some brisket at this very moment, just because you can.

Specializing in “Old Stove” recipes, Texas Jam House isn’t just dishing out brisket 24 hours a day, they’ve got a variety of classic Texas dishes. Including a meatloaf that might have you thinking twice about your granny’s version that everyone raves over.  Texas Jam House is one of six unique restaurants and bars that’s part of Big Beat Dallas. Located inside the Toyota Music Factory, Big Beat Dallas will kick off its official grand opening with a Texas sized 5 day celebration March 29th –April 2nd.

The brainchild of Texas entertainment mogul, Billy Bob Barnett, there’s nothing in DFW quite like Big Beat Dallas. Not only is each concept bringing different types of food and booze, they’ll each have their own live music stage with genre-specific artists performing daily. Plus, there’s always the live outdoor music stage and open-air plaza to keep your fingers popping, toes tapping and shoulders shaking as you float from concept to concept. Note that if you decide to go this route, eating and drinking at each location, you may need to invest in a wheel barrel. Start by getting your taco and tequila fix at Bar Manzanilla. They do a strong but friendly frozen margarita. Do yourself a favor and get the ceviche and lobster tacos. These cute tiny tacos have shells made of yucca. By the way, there’s absolutely no need to rush and finish your drinks while visiting any of the spots. Basically, Big Beat has a special license that’s similar to those in New Orleans which allows you to carry your drinks from one location to the next. Something about knowing you don’t have to leave that Blood and Honey brew behind makes it go down just a little smoother.

Beer is the ideal beverage when hanging out at Highway 61 South. They’ll keep appetites appeased with huge grilled stuffed jalapeños, ravish worthy ribs and smoky wings. While licking your fingers and rubbing your belly, feed your ears with the live sounds of New Orleans and Chicago blues artists. Jazz and wine enthusiasts will find their tribe at Texas C Bar. From their sommelier driven wine selection, to their extensive scotch choices, there’s a sip for all to enjoy. Nightly live jazz and sustainable bites round out a laid back experience inside this Texas cool bar. Listen to the latest sounds and show your fanciest footwork at the cowboy chic, Martini Ranch. Here, it’s all about the DJs, and sassy martini’s. This is a place for those who want to be seen while sipping.

Even if hopping from eatery to bar to eatery isn’t necessarily something that strikes you as wonderful, (which means I can’t understand you as a human being) Big Beat still has something for you. The Big Beat Market Place is an open air space that will feature retailer brands from Texas and around the world plus fresh coffee from the in-house coffee bar.

Big Beat Dallas isn’t like anything we’re used to seeing in this city. Yet, it’s something that has been missing. We love our booze. We love our food. And we love our music. Most of all we love doing them all BIG. TXmb
